Dysmetabolisms

Dysmetabolisms (Defective Metabolism)

It has been shown that ‘oral breather’ children have sometimes greater difficulty in concentrating, show a lower academic performance, can suffer from nocturnal enuresis, metabolic dysfunctions, tend to obesity and grow less.

Breathing through the mouth is also related to a more acid oral environment, which can promote erosion of tooth enamel and cavities. It is not uncommon for children who breathe through their mouth to observe white spots on the upper incisors.
